COULD YOU BECOME INSTANTLY ELIGIBLE FOR PR IN AUSTRALIA?

ATTENTION SKILLED WORKERS: YOU COULD BECOME INSTANTLY ELIGIBLE FOR AUSTRALIA PR ON 25 NOVEMBER UNDER AUSTRALIA'S MAJOR PR ELIGIBILITY SHIFT

Australia is poised to broaden its horizon for Permanent Residency, and your eligibility might just be on the list! If you've been eyeing a future down under, this latest update from the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) could be the game-changer you've been waiting for.

Understanding the Big Picture: A Pathway to Australian PR Widens

Last week the Australian government has unveiled a bold plan to revise its migration policy, signaling a sudden eligibility for temporary skilled workers seeking permanent residency. This proposal outlines significant amendments to the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa and related PR pathways.

What's Changing?

  • Proposed enhancements to the TSS visa could make it easier for applicants already in Australia to transition to permanent residency.

  • The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) and Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) may soon have more inclusive nomination requirements, especially for TSS visa holders.

Proceed with caution as it's still not official yet, but mark your calendar for 25 November 2023, the anticipated start date for these changes. It's crucial to note that as of now, the DHA has only released a factsheet suggesting their intended changes. Regulations and legislation remain unchanged until further notice.

Keep an eye on this space. We'll provide updates as they happen, ensuring you have the knowledge to take swift and informed action towards your PR goals.

What This Could Mean for You

If these proposed changes go through, many temporary visa holders who were previously on the edge of eligibility might find themselves well within the bounds for permanent residency.
